I am a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach (Holistic Health Coach) & Personal Trainer with almost 4 years of experience. I have learned that health extends beyond physical fitness, encompassing relationships, mindful eating, daily routines, movement, & stress management, all influenced by environmental factors. Having never been taught how to care for my physical body, nervous system, or emotional state, I now emphasize the importance of conscious nutrition & & view movement as a form of medicine. After overcoming personal mental health challenges & achieving sobriety in 2022, I have developed a holistic understanding of the body. I am committed to assisting women of color like myself—where health & wellness are not traditionally prioritized—by offering a new perspective to help them achieve optimal health.

  • Small-group sessions (usually 2–6 people) where you get personal coaching from me in a supportive, motivating environment. Every 60–70 minute workout blends strength training, conditioning, & mobility work.

  • It’s designed for anyone who wants real sustainable results without the overwhelm of big gyms or solo training. All fitness levels are welcome; I create modifications so everyone feels confident in what they’re doing.

  • You get my full attention in a small group, plus a holistic approach that includes nutrition, mindset, & community support—not just “go hard & leave.”

  • Expect a mix of strength (dumbbells, kettlebells, bands, bodyweight), conditioning (HIIT-style circuits, metabolic work), & mobility drills. Every session has a warm-up (15 min) + main work (45-50 minutes). Workouts change every 12-weeks to keep things fresh & progressive.

  • Monday–Thursday in Southeast Austin (78744). The live weekly schedule is always posted on Instagram @wellnesswithmaryj.

  • Workout clothes, supportive shoes, a water bottle (we have a complimentary hydration station for active members!), & that’s it—I provide all equipment.

  • 100%. I scale everything so beginners feel challenged but never overwhelmed. Many of my current members started exactly where you are.

  • 3X Subscription – 3 sessions/week – $187.50/month

    4X Subscription – 4 sessions/week – $245.25/month

  • All equipment is provided—no need to bring anything extra! We use dumbbells, kettlebells, barbells, resistance bands, mats, & bodyweight tools to create varied, effective workouts blending strength, conditioning, & mobility.

  • Sessions are challenging but scalable—expect a mix of moderate-to-high effort with built-in modifications. We focus on progressive overload so you build strength safely without burnout.

  • Most members notice more energy, better strength, & improved mood within 2–4 weeks. Body composition changes usually show up around 6–8 weeks when combined with the nutrition support.

  • As much as I encourage to show up consistently I understand life happens, there is no requirement to show up every week, as long as your subscription is active you are free to book or not book as you please.

  • Groups are intentionally kept small (typically 2–6 women) so everyone gets personal attention, form corrections, & modifications while still enjoying the energy of training together.

  • Absolutely! Many members join with friends. Referrals are welcome—ask about any current referral discounts.

  • Every workout includes built-in modifications & progressions. Whether you're just starting or more advanced, you'll get challenged at your level while staying safe.

  • Many women train with me through different life stages. If you're pregnant or postpartum, let me know—we can adjust intensity, avoid certain movements, & focus on safe, supportive strength & recovery.

  • Monthly members get personalized tracking, including photos, measurements, strength logs, & (for 4X) detailed body composition scans with the Hume Health Body Pod every few months.

  • The Hume Health Body Pod is an advanced at-home body composition analyzer (like a high-tech smart scale) that uses multi-frequency sensors to scan your body in about 60 seconds. It measures over 40 key health metrics with high accuracy, including body fat percentage & muscle mass—giving detailed insights into your progress beyond just weight.

  • Everyone benefits from ongoing tips in the accountability + nutrition group chat. 4X subscribers also receive a complimentary one-on-one nutrition consultation every 12 weeks to dial in mindful eating & habits.

  • We understand life gets busy, but to respect everyone's spot in our small groups (and hold space for committed members), we require cancellations well in advance.

    Cancellations made more than 45 minutes before your scheduled session start time are free—no penalty.

    Cancellations made within 45 minutes of the session start are considered late & will incur a $10 fee, charged to the card on file.

    This helps us maintain fair access & keeps the group energy strong for everyone who shows up.

  • A no-call/no-show (not showing up & not canceling at all) will result in a $20 fee charged to the card on file.

    We take this seriously because it impacts the group dynamic & leaves an empty spot that could have been filled. One missed connection is understandable—repeated no-shows may affect your ability to book future sessions, so please communicate if something comes up!

  • Yes—this late cancellation & no-show policy applies to all booked sessions, whether you're on a 3X/4X monthly subscription or using a drop-in/session pack. It ensures consistency & fairness across the community.

  • We get it—emergencies happen! If something unavoidable comes up (illness, family issue, etc.), just reach out as soon as possible. I'll review on a case-by-case basis & may waive the fee for genuine one-offs.

    Communication is key in our space.

  • Subscriptions are flexible month-to-month. You can pause or cancel with notice (typically 30 days—DM or text me to discuss). No long-term contracts.

  • Session packs expire after 12 weeks from purchase, regardless of how many you've used. It's designed to encourage consistent training.

  • Right now, small group personal training is in-person only at our private Southeast Austin space (78744). The hands-on coaching, real-time form feedback, community energy, & full equipment access make in-person sessions the most effective & supportive way to train together.

    That said, if I (Coach Mary J.) am ever ill or out of town & need to cancel group sessions, I’ll make sure you’re still supported. I’ll send the group a full week of customized workouts (or more as needed) that follow our same style—strength training, conditioning, & mobility. You can do them at home (bodyweight or minimal equipment) or in a gym if you have access. This keeps your momentum going without hindering progress. You’ll get the plan via the accountability/nutrition group chat. Communication stays open so you always feel connected!

  • Your consistency matters to me, so I plan ahead & communicate early. If I’m under the weather or away (which I keep to a minimum), I’ll notify the group as soon as possible via the private group chat. No prorated refunds for occasional cancellations. Repeated or extended absences on my end are rare, & I prioritize rescheduling or makeup options when feasible.

  • The free intro session is the best way to experience the energy, coaching style, & community. If you're a woman ready to prioritize holistic health in a supportive space designed for us, this is likely a great match.

  • I am bilingual & will almost always teach that way when needed & assure my Spanish speaking girls understand what’s going on throughout the entire session.

  • No—most women don't build bulky muscle easily due to hormones & genetics. Strength training sculpts, tones, & boosts metabolism for that strong, confident look without "bulking up.”

  • The space is created with cultural awareness in mind—addressing barriers like lack of representation in wellness, stress from systemic factors, & holistic needs often overlooked. We build community where you feel seen & supported.
